The Early, Largely Ignored, Water-Moving Plan Though the mechanism developed by Agrippa for carrying water gained the admiration of Andrea Bacci in 1588, it appeared to fade away not long thereafter. It may possibly be that the Acqua Felice, the second of Rome’s earliest modern channels made the system useless when it was attached to the Villa Medici in 1592.
