The Root of Modern Wall Fountains
The Root of Modern Wall Fountains Hundreds of classic Greek records were translated into Latin under the auspices of the scholarly Pope Nicholas V, who led the Roman Catholic Church from 1397 to 1455.
In order to make Rome deserving of being the capital of the Christian world, the Pope resolved to embellish the beauty of the city. Restoration of the Acqua Vergine, a ruined Roman aqueduct which had carried clean drinking water into the city from eight miles away, began in 1453 at the behest of the Pope. The historical Roman tradition of marking the entry point of an aqueduct with an imposing celebratory fountain, also known as a mostra, was restored by Nicholas V. At the bidding of the Pope, architect Leon Battista Alberti began the construction of a wall fountain in the spot where we now find the Trevi Fountain. The aqueduct he had reconditioned included modifications and extensions which eventually allowed it to supply water to the Trevi Fountain as well as the renowned baroque fountains in the Piazza del Popolo and the Piazza Navona.

Can Garden Fountains Help Purify The Air?
You can beautify your living space by putting in an indoor wall fountain. Your eyes, your ears and your health can be favorably impacted by including this type of indoor feature in your house. Science supports the hypothesis that water fountains are excellent for you. The negative ions emitted by water features are offset by the positive ions released by modern-day conveniences. The negative ions generated by these kinds of water features overtake the positive ones ending in positive shifts to both your psychological and physical health. They also raise serotonin levels, so you start to feel more aware, relaxed and invigorated. Due to the negative ions it produces, an indoor wall fountain can improve your spirits and also eliminate impurities in the air. In order to rid yourself of allergies, impurities in the air and other annoyances, be sure to install one of these. Finally, these fountains absorb dust particles and micro-organisms in the air thereby affecting your general health for the better.
