A Simple Explanation of Hydrostatics When in equilibrium, liquid delivers power to its container or any other material it comes in contact with. The force employed falls into one of two categories: external force or hydrostatic energy. When used against a level surface, the liquid exerts equal force against all points of that surface. All points on an object’s surface are affected by vertical pressure when the object is entirely submerged in a liquid that’s in a state of equilibrium. These vertical forces are buoyancy, and the concept by itself is more fully defined by Archimedes’principle. As originally constructed, the aqueduct was provided along the length of its channel with pozzi (manholes) constructed at regular intervals. The manholes made it less demanding to clean the channel, but it was also possible to use buckets to remove water from the aqueduct, as we discovered with Cardinal Marcello Crescenzi when he possessed the property from 1543 to 1552, the year he died. The cistern he had constructed to obtain rainwater wasn’t adequate to meet his water specifications. To give himself with a more efficient means to obtain water, he had one of the manholes opened, offering him access to the aqueduct below his property.
